Vizio recently had a television advert, I hadn’t seen before. To be honest, I haven’t really seen any of their television ads before.
It’s for their all-in-one computers. Engadget had a quick writeup about these back in June.
The commercial emphasizes the aesthetics of their all-in-one machines and the machine itself looks really good. However, the keyboard, trackpad, and remote look like chintzy plastic. Here is their ad:
All I could think of was the 1984 Apple Mac commercial. Even though the Vizio commercial wasn’t a blatant rip off of the classic, it seemed fairly close and spot on in the tone. Here’s the 1984 commercial everyone is familiar with:

I’m just wondering if Apple, or their advertising firm at the time, is going to sue Vizio on the commercial and possibly the computer and trackpad.
